Sleeping in Morocco: Riads + Luxury Tents

Morocco, gateway to the Mediterranean Sea

Geographically, Morocco lies just south of Portugal + Spain, making it an ideal jumping off point for additional travel to Europe. Historically, Morocco has been ruled by the Romans, French, and Spanish, as well as many Arab dynasties. The mix of cultures, art, religions, and architectural styles lends itself to a truly unique experience.

One of many things unique to Morocco is its traditional guest houses with inner courtyards, known as riads. These make up the majority of our accommodations on my Moroccan Adventure. Originally, many of these were homes to wealthy families and have since been converted into small boutique hotels. By design, most of the windows in a riad face the inner courtyard as opposed to outside. This allows for privacy and a respite from the hustle and bustle beyond the walls. The riads where we stay offer examples of the beautiful tile, masonry, and wood working skills of local artisans. Our riads are handpicked, well-appointed, and have comfortable rooms with lush bedding.

Below, check out some pictures of the lovely accommodations where you'll rest your head as we journey through Morocco, including a luxury tent in the dunes of the Sahara. All rooms have ensuite baths. Single + double rooms available.  To learn more and sign up, click HERE.
